Kai Forbath had a career season in 2017 with the Minnesota Vikings. He made 32 total field goals, with his longest being a 53 yarder.

According to a Mike Garafolo of NFL Network, the Vikings are resigning Forbath to a 1 year, $800,000 deal. Both parties are interested in re-joining each other and Forbath with also join QB Kirk Cousins, whom he was teammates with when he [ Forbath ] kicked for Washington.

Last season Forbath made 32 of his 38 field goals, but he was very successful in clutch moments. Forbath made the game winning kick vs the Chicago Bears, making the score 20-17 and giving the Bears 12 seconds to score. The game vs the Ravens was a kicking battle and Forbath was 6/6 with a long of 52. Forbath was 4/4 vs the Browns in London. He made a 53 yarder to close out the game in Washington.

During the Divisional Round vs the Saints, Forbath was as clutch as possible. He made a 49 yard field goal, then with around 1:50 left, he made a 53 yarder to put the Vikings back on top. Forbath is overshadowed by the Minneapolis Miracle but without his 53 yard kick, the Saints would have taken knees and the game would've been over.

VikingNations is glad to have you back for another year, Kai. SKOL
